This interactive course is designed for yearbookers who are eager to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into their yearbook creation process. Participants will explore the latest AI tools and resources that streamline design, enhance creativity, and optimize efficiency. We’ll absolutely be talking ethics and limits, too.

Style Guide - Interactive Workshop
This interactive course is designed for experienced yearbookers who are ready to take their design and editorial skills to the next level by developing and implementing a comprehensive style guide. From finding affordable equipment to setting up a functional workspace, participants will learn practical tips and tricks for building a studio without breaking the bank. Through hands-on activities and demonstrations, students will gain the knowledge and confidence to unleash their creativity in their own budget-friendly studio space.

Elite Sports: Stop Action
In this class we will explore how to capture athletes using one of the three benchmarks for exposure, using shutter speed. We will dive into how to use it effectively. How to use shutter speed not only to get those clean crisp sharp images, but also how to use different shutter speeds in creative ways to give a sense of movement. Understanding this function and when and when not to use different shutter speeds to improve your sports images.

Elite Sports: Perspective
In this class we will explore how to capture sports images that have impact. Get away from the boring photographs that do not grab the viewers eyes. We will explore what angles or perspectives that have impact, create excitement and bring your level of your photography to the next level.

Elite Sports: Fluff
In this class we will explore what photojournalists around the globe call 'Fluff'. Capturing images that support your main story. We will dive into what details to look for, what images have impact, but at the same time does not distract the main photograph. We will go into how to explore a story with
fluff photographs.

Elite Sports: Tell the Story
In this class we will explore how to tell a story- visually. What goes into telling a story with your photographs. How to crate a series of images that support and tell a story your viewer will understand, clearly. We will explore how to photograph both short stories and more in-depth stories.

Elite Sports: See the Light
In this class we will explore how to see and use natural light as a photojournalists. Use natural or artificial light to capture images that create impact and mood. We will explore how to determine the best use of available light. How to handle difficult situations and come away with images that are not only well lit, but create visually exciting images.
